Mr. Stephen Debre is an agricultural business development expert with core competence in project management, agricultural value chain development and promotion, business advisory services, commodity exchange and warehouse receipt systems design, investment promotion and facilitation, matching grants management, e-agriculture and de-risking schemes, policy and cooperation management. He has worked in the banana, cassava, cocoa, cashew, rice, maize and soya industries.

Stephen has skills, knowledge and over 12 years of experience in managing the financial, workplans, budgeting and reporting systems of projects and programmes funded by the German International Cooperation (GIZ), Netherlands Development Organization (SNV), the World Bank and the USAID. He also had experience in social and environmental safeguards, procurement procedures, and regulations of the World Bank, GIZ, EU and Government of Ghana including drafting of request for proposals, terms of reference and service contracts and supervision of technical staff.

In addition, he also provides business intelligence information for management decision making and possess skills in scenario planning, budgeting, data mining and forecasting techniques.

Stephen is a co-founder of the Ghana Agribusiness Centre, a platform created to support investment in the agribusiness sector of Ghana. He is involved in proposals development and business linkages, preparation of strategic business plans and feasibility reports, training and facilitation of events.
