alabira final finalAlabira IBRAHIM, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and development worker, is responsible for GASIP’s M&E system. He has over 15 years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing M&E systems for agricultural development projects.

His work experience include working with Feed the Future USAID-Ghana Agriculture Policy Project, implemented by Chemonics International Inc. USA; the Expanding Climate Change Resilience in Northern Ghana project, implemented by Global Communities;  the Millennium Challenge Account, Ghana Program (Compact 1) – Commercial Development of Farmer-based Organizations, implemented by the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA).

Alabira has also worked in the public sector at the Ministry Local Government & Rural Development and at the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) to monitor the implementation of the Ghana Poverty Reduction Strategy.

Alabira has knowledge of rural development issues related to development of crop value chains and farmer-based organizations, private sector agribusinesses, decentralization, and participation of civil society organizations in the policy formulation process. Alabira studied Mathematics at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and at the University of Bristol, UK.
