GASIP is currently supporting these four commodities; Rice, Cassava, Fruits & Vegetables, and Aquaculture. GASIP will go beyond
these selected commodities to include other commodity value chains that meet the following criteria:

- Proven tools that link smallholders into commercial value chains.
- Potential for climate change adaptation (e.g. their viability under climate change, their contribution to drivers of climate-related impacts, such as erosion that might cause problems and their ability to increase the resilience of the poorest and most vulnerable populations associated with the target value chain).

debreMr. Stephen Debre is a highly experienced private sector and SMEs expert in Ghana with a focus on agribusinesses. Stephen holds M.Phil. in Agricultural Engineering, MA in Economic Policy Management and BSc. in Agricultural Engineering. He has over 12 years of professional experience in the areas of agribusiness development and value chains promotion and enhancement, post-harvest development, commodities exchange design and trading systems, agricultural financing and de-risking schemes, policy formation, and a vast experience in the grain and horticultural sectors.  

He has a comprehensive experience in working closely with SMEs to build sustainable business models and enhance their abilities to expand at a domestic and international level. Mr. Debre has an extensive experience and knowledge of private sector development, inclusive value chain development in Ghana, with strong market research skills.

Stephen has been an Agribusiness Specialist, Value Chain Manager, Agriculture Financing & Investment Expert, SMEs and Investment & Promotion Specialist, MD, CEO and many other leading positions throughout his career. He has demonstrated strong writing skills by drafting investment and market research briefs and high quality reports for donors, government ministries.
